From Struggle to Strength: William's Story

From a young age, William has lived with muscular dystrophy, a condition that gradually weakens his muscles. By 15, he began relying on a wheelchair, and daily life was especially challenging as he lived in a third-floor flat without lift access. In December 2019, William developed pneumonia and was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. After 2.5 months in hospital, he was discharged early due to the Covid-19 outbreak. With support from TTSH Community Fund donors, William received the essential medical equipment he needed to discharge. These equipment help him breath more easily at home and live with greater comfort and dignity.
