MEA Confirms Jaishankar-Iran FM Talks, Says 'Many Indian Students Rescued From War Zone' | WATCH

MEA briefs media amid West Asia War. "External Affairs Minister and the Foreign Minister of Iran have had three conversations in recent days. During the last one, they discussed issues pertaining to the safety of shipping and India’s energy security. Many Indians, including students, have been safely rescued from the war zone. Many have been shifted to safer locations. PM has spoken to several leaders in the Gulf after the conflict started. In these conversations, he stressed the need for dialogue and diplomacy, so that early peace can return. He also underlined the need to avoid civilian casualties......India is a major exporter of refined petroleum products, especially to our neighbourhood. We have received a request from the govt of Bangladesh for the supply of diesel, which is being examined...All the embassies in the region have reached out to the Indian community, issued advisories, and are helping our people. A large number of them have already returned."
