After this, I decided it was time to move on from South Africa and begin another adventure. I did not want to spend four years on this new adventure, but did want to capture a new travel experience. It required little time and effort to get back into a new adventure mode. I opened the map and started exploring far and wide. And, BOOM! Turkey won the lottery. I quickly packed my stuff, bought everything I thought I would need and then began my trip. Initially, it seemed very hard to get back into the rhythm again, but I knew deep down that it would only be a matter of time and I’ll get to that same vibe as I had with My African trip. Turkey was totally different, it’s very developed and with both good superstructure and infrastructure and people are very welcoming all over. Turkish people are quick to smile. It’s been only two weeks, and while I will reserve my conclusions until after I finish my trip, and see the whole country - my first impressions have been great. The Turkish cuisine is what keeps me motivated to reach the next town… I can’t go to sleep before finishing my day with a baklava.
