Hey it's Dr. Troy here. I have a lot of patients ask, me hey doc what's the best vitamin I can take for my back pain? The first thing you have got to understand is what's causing pain. So it could be an injury, could be could be overuse, but those things lead to a big word called inflammation. That is really the goal with whether we're doing an adjustment in the office or therapy is we got to get the inflammation down. I recommend that people take vitamin D especially in the wintertime because we're not getting exposure from the sun. Vitamin D is a powerful hormone it helps control inflammation. For the average adult the maintenance dose is 10,000 IU's a day, in our bottle that we have private labeled that would be two capsules. If you bought a bottle of this it would last you two months, so two of these a day. Then the other thing is fish oils. These are our Omega sufficiency fish oils. Fish oils have been shown clinically to reduce inflammation, if you take it first thing in the morning with water it also helps your liver detoxify. When people are in pain they'll usually have toxicity issues. So, five to ten of these a day. The other thing that is really amazing for inflammation is this product, we call it the little green miracle, Wuji Chlorella. You take five to 20 of these first thing in the morning and it will actually help you detoxify, it'll reduce inflammation, alkalizes the blood, and improve your digestion. Then if if you're having back pain issues you usually find people tend to have issues in their bowels and people are constipated. People always say, well doc I'm not constipated I'm still going. This Psyllium Husks helps you volumize your bowel movements so that you actually eliminate properly instead of these small little snakes that come out, you get a nice you know; when we talk about bowel movements you know people always kind of laugh but you're gonna get a more of a volume and it's not explosive or anything it's just a gentle way to help move fiber through your bowels.
