November 19th, 1994 Iowa ended the season with a 49-42 win at Minnesota, retaining possession of Floyd of Rosedale. Iowa special teams recovered both a fumbled punt (Demo Odems) and a fumbled kickoff (Bo Porter) for touchdowns, as Porter scored his second TD on special teams in two weeks. Freshman QB Matt Sherman completed 14 of 20 passes for 258 yards and two TDs and caught a nine-yard TD pass from Tim Dwight. Sophomore running back Sedrick Shaw rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown to go over the 1,000 yard mark for the season (170-1,002). Shaw also had two pass receptions for 83 yards and a score. Anthony Dean had four catches for 63 yards and Odems had two catches for 50 yards and a TD to go with his special teams score.
