We went to Bob Roth’s New River Groves to try their AWARD WINNING key lime pie and trust it did not disappoint! Truly the best key lime pie I have ever had. Light, fluffy and no egg-y taste in sight! The Roth family was so generous & kind, if you get the chance to visit you 10000% should! If you can’t, they have shared the recipe to their iconic pie (although you will be missing their special key lime juice) so you can make it yourself at home. RECIPE: CRUST 100 g graham crackers (7-8 full sheets) 80 g Nilla wafers (about 1 cup) 35 g sugar (about 2½ tbsp) 85 g unsalted butter, softened (about 6 tbsp) salt (pinch, optional) PIE FILLING (all credits to Terry Roth for this incredible recipe!) 6oz whipped topping (CoolWhip, TruWhip, etc) 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup key lime juice optional: vanilla!
