Inveraray and District at the Scottish Championships 2011

Inveraray and District Pipe Band under Pipe Major Stuart Liddell playing at the 2011 Scottish Championships held in Levengrove Park in Dumbarton on Saturday 21 May 2011. The band is playing a MSR set: John MacDonald of Glencoe, Maggie Cameron and The Smith of Chilliechassie. The weather conditions are clearly atrocious - cold and windy with continuous heavy rain. Many of the bands, like the young pipers of Inveraray, treated the weather conditions with disdain and competed without their black capes. This made a tremendous difference to those of us spectating. Many thanks - and serious respect. Both piping judges rated the piping of this band very highly, and both placed the band second for piping. The band finished fifth overall on the Grade One competition.
