In this session, we continued our journey through Romans chapter 8 and explored what it truly means to live according to the Spirit rather than the flesh. After understanding that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, we now examine how that freedom shapes daily life. Dr Babu explained that the Christian life is not simply about forgiveness but about transformation. Through the work of Jesus Christ, believers are transferred from the realm of sin and death into a new realm ruled by the Holy Spirit. This new life brings both responsibility and hope. 👉 Highlights from this session: • Two mindsets. The mind set on the flesh leads to death, but the mind set on the Spirit leads to life and peace. • A new realm. Believers no longer belong to the old order of sin but live under the authority of the Spirit. • Indwelling Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit is the defining mark of a true believer. • Ongoing struggle. Even with the Spirit’s presence, believers must actively put to death the deeds of the body. • Assurance through Christ. Our confidence is grounded in the finished work of Jesus, not in flawless spiritual performance. • Real transformation. The gospel not only removes condemnation but empowers a new way of living. 📖 “For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8 verse 13 This session reminds us that life in the Spirit is both a gift and a calling. Because Christ has secured our acceptance before God, we now walk in the power of the Spirit, growing in obedience and experiencing the peace that comes from belonging to Him.
