The Met Office issued a red warning in Devon from 3pm today, causing schools and businesses in Torrington to close. A red alert is the highest alert from the Met Office. As snow continues to fall, Great Torrington School said it will remain closed on Friday 2nd March 2018. Petroc College said "We will be closing all of our campuses from 1pm on Thursday 1 March. They will remain closed on Friday 2 March." The Met Office warns that it will be very windy overnight with gales and severe gales.
