When you take on a new leadership role at work or are about to transition into one, you want to show up as a leader at the next level . This means elevating yourself in areas like establishing your presence and profile, communicating with impact and gravitas, influencing outcomes and thinking strategically, and having a vision. What I've discovered through my own career and also through the experience of the people who have been in my Next Level Leadership Program, is that there are 5 main obstacles that can get in the way of you showing up as that next-level leader: 1. You don’t know all the rules (yet) 2. The stakes are higher 3. Doing things for the first time 4. It’s easy to doubt yourself 5. You can’t be sure who trust To overcome these challenges, I highly recommend you invest in forming or joining a Brain Trust to help you in the transition and beyond. Find a group of people who you can trust to help you navigate your path and to do it in the right way, so you can succeed at that higher level and be seen as a next-level leader. To find out more about how you can be part of the Next Level Leadership program and our brain trust, sign up to receive my weekly career advice blog, and look out for my announcement in early November. In the meantime, which of these challenges do you face in your leadership and what do you do to overcome them?
