Instructions Step 1. The first step is to bead all your pins. Pin them all in this order. count out 162 round beads 81 tri beads One faceted round bead One tri bead One faceted round bead Complete this sequence until all 81 are pinned Step 2. Row 1. Cut 12" of the 19 or 20 gauge wire Count out 18 beaded pins Count out 18 round faceted bead String these pins on the wire in this order End of pin 1 Round faceted beads End of pin 1 Round faceted beads Complete this sequence until all 18 are on making sure there is a bead between each pin. Twist wires slightly tight enough to hold in place, but loose enough to take apart. You will be taking this section out later. Step 3 Row 2. Cut 8" of the 19 or 20 gauge wire Count out 9 beaded pins Count out 9 round faceted beads You will be connected these new pins with the ones already wired together. You will also be placing the pins on the wire facing the beads away from you. String these pins on the wire in this order. Put one bead on the wire Put the wire through the head of one of the pins already wired Put the bottom of one of the pins from your 9 you set aside Don’t forget it will be facing away from you Put the wire through another head of pin, already wire, (the next in line.) Put one round faceted bead on wire Complete this sequence until all 9 pins and all 9 faceted round beads are used up. Step 4 Row 3. Cut 19" of the 19 or 20 gauge wire Count out 18 beaded pins Count out 9 round faceted beads You will be connecting these new pins with the ones already wired together. You will also be placing the pins on the wire facing the beads away from you. String these pins on the wire in this order. Put one bead on the wire Add the end of a pin (from your pile) Put the wire through the head of the pin already wired Add the end of a pin from your pile Put one bead on wire Add the end of a pin (from your pile) Put the wire through the head of the pin already wired Complete this sequence until all 18 pins and all 9 beads are used up. Step 5 Row 4. Cut 12" of the 19 or 20 gauge wire Count out 36 beaded pins Count out 18 round faceted beads You will be connecting these new pins with the ones already wired together. You will also be placing the pins on the wire facing the beads away from you. String these pins on the wire in this order. Put one bead on the wire Add the end of a pin (from your pile) Put the wire through the head of the pin already wired Add the end of a pin from your pile Put one bead on wire Add the end of a pin (from your pile) Put the wire through the head of the pin already wired Complete this sequence until all 18 pins and all 9 beads are used up. TAKING OUT THE FIRST ROW Step 6 Now it is time to take apart that first row. Lay your unfinished basket upside down so that all your pins lay nice and flat. Now take apart that first row or "bottom row". You will begin making this again directly after taking it apart. Using the first sequence again: Cut 12" of the 19 or 20 gauge wire Count out 34 round faceted bead String these pins on the wire in this order End of pin 2 Round faceted beads End of pin 2 Round faceted beads Complete this sequence until all 18 are on making sure there are two beads between each pin. Now as you wire these all together, it is very important you place everything together to where when turned back over, it will lay flat. Your wire may not be as tight as you would like it in order for it too lay nice and flat, but once all together it should. Now all you have left is the scalloping row. Scalloping row: Count out 54 round faceted beads 18" of the 24 gauge wire You will be placing the beads between the pins already wired in this order.
