Steall Falls is one of most iconic waterfalls in Scotland. Not only it is impressive on its own as the second highest waterfall in Scotland and UK, with 120m water drop, but is located in fairytale valley below Ben Nevis with picturesque views to peaks around. No wonder this location was featured in films, most notably - in nearly every quidditch match in Harry Potter franchise. This is not all - the trail leading to the valley through Nevis Gorge is also amazing - with great views and perfect level of difficulty: not hard enough to deter anybody, but not too easy to make it boring. As if it was not enough, there is an additional attraction in form of rope bridge which allows to reach the very bottom of the waterfall. It is not recommended for children below certain age (around 12 probably), but there is a possibility to wade through the relatively slow moving river - this is what me and our 8 years old daughter did - just remember the water is freezing cold.
