Youth Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan

Youth Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan was founded in 2014 with the most perspective young musicians: awardees of republikan and international competetions, talented students, and active participants of other symphony and chamber orchestras. The orchestra repertoire list includes sophisticated symphonic music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, Dmitriy Shostakovich, Sergei Prokofiev, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Vasily Kalinnikov, Johannes Brams, Gustav Mahler etc. Youth Symphony Orchestra performs classical music, music of Uzbek classical and contemporary composers, classical pop music, Gala-concerts within the international festivals. The orchestra organizes chamber music concerts, workshops for young musucians such as Vanessa Mae, Keiko Matsui, Rene Pape. The YSO takes part at the state events. A lot of concerts have been played in remote areas of the country, also many concerts abroad were performed: in Russia, USA, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Kuwait.
