After a walk around the area, we will cast our nets in different places and then we will go to a nearby cove to eat and enjoy a unique sunset over the boat. After a long talk, we will finally go to sleep so we can get up early in the morning to collect the nets and return to port. I’d like to thank Nikos for giving me the opportunity to experience the daily life of a fisherman here in Leipsoi, even for a few hours. Fishing is the ultimate freedom. The slight movement of the boat, the sounds of the pulsation of the sea, the peaceful atmosphere. The morning after is when you can pick up the nets and test your luck. But it's still a hard and tough daily routine; if you don't love it, you’ll be tempted to quit.
