MOSIMTEC partners with several material handling integrators to develop physics-based Emulate3D models of customer systems to ensure designs will meet requirements. The presentation focuses on how Emulate3D can be used for hyper-focused sub-systems that need to be understood in a very tight timeframe. The presentation will illustrate how key areas that may be of special concern can be modeled in a greater degree of detail than may be necessary for overall throughput models. For example, the Emulate3D physics engine is used to understand if a very specific divert may have issues when boxes overhang a single cross-belt cell and even use 2 cells. For the remainder of the cross-belt system, the customer was not concerned about detailed performance, as the rest of the system already existed in a current facility. This presentation was part of the Emulate3D User Group Meeting in Ann Arbor, MI in 2024.
