Strengthen your feet and ankles using these simple exercises! For the more intermediate or advanced dancers, these exercises are perfect to work on strengthening the whole foot including your toes. Strong feet are so important for ballet dancers on pointe or dancers training to be on pointe, but dancers of any genre (jazz, tap, contemporary, etc.) can benefit from stronger ankles. It can improve your balance and support your body better, which also helps dancers prevent injuries. Equipment: Theraband or resistance band and a small ball. Choose a band resistance level according to your strength. Start with a light resistance band if you’ve never done these exercises before. (You can perform these exercise without the equipment if you desire.)
