*New version which includes the 2025 Maryland buzzer beater, plus a few others that I missed in my previous video. Every true buzzer beater in March Madness history from 1977-2025. This only includes true buzzer beaters where the game ended immediately after the shot without the other team having the opportunity to inbound. If any time was put back on the clock following the shot (such as Loyola vs. Miami in 2018), that shot was disqualified from my definition of "true buzzer beater". It's important to note that before 1993, the NCAA did not stop the clock after made baskets in the final minute. Therefore, there are a few buzzer beaters from before 1993 where the shot was technically made with time remaining. But if the game immediately ended without the other team inbounding the ball, I qualified this as a true buzzer beater. *I did not include 1981 BYU Danny Ainge because Notre Dame inbounded the ball *I did not include the 1990 Ball State/Oregon State game because the buzzer beater tied the game and then the game was actually won with a free throw. 1977 Jerome Whitehead Marquette Charlotte 1978 Ron Brewer Arkansas Notre Dame 1979 Bob Heaton Indiana State Arkansas 1981 John Smith St. Joseph's Depaul 1981 U.S. Reed Arkansas Louisville 1982 Brian Kellerman Idaho Iowa 1983 Robert Tatum Ohio Illinois State 1984 Terence Stansbury Temple St. John's 1984 Rolando Lamb VCU Northeastern 1984 Danny Young Wake Forest Depaul 1985 Andre Turner Memphis Boston College 1986 Jeff Hornacek Iowa State Miami Ohio 1986 Anthony Wilson LSU Memphis 1986 Terry Coner Alabama Illinois 1988 Charles Smith Georgetown LSU 1990 Paris McCurdy Ball State Oregon State 1990 Rick Fox North Carolina Oklahoma 1990 Tate George UConn Clemson 1990 Christian Laettner Duke UConn 1991 Steve Smith Michigan State Green Bay 1992 James Forrest Georgia Tech USC 1992 Christian Laettner Duke Kentucky 1995 Tyus Edney UCLA Missouri 1995 Don Reid Georgetown Weber State 1998 Bryce Drew Valpo Ole Miss 1998 Richard Hamilton UConn Washington 2000 Mike Miller Florida Butler 2001 Nat Burton Georgetown Arkansas 2003 Drew Nicholas Maryland UNC Wilmington 2006 Kenton Paulino Texas West Virginia 2008 Ty Rogers Western Kentucky Drake 2010 Danero Thomas Murray State Venderbilt 2010 Korey Lucious Michigan State Maryland 2011 Matt Howard Butler Old Dominion 2014 Cameron Ridley Texas Arizona State 2016 Paul Jesperson Northern Iowa Texas 2016 Adam Woodbury Iowa Temple 2016 Bronson Koenig Wisconsin Xavier 2016 Kris Jenkins Villanova North Carolina 2017 Chris Chiozza Florida Wisconsin 2018 Jordan Poole Michigan Houston 2021 Jalen Suggs Gonzaga UCLA 2023 Lamont Butler San Diego State Florida Atlantic 2025 Derik Queen Maryland Colorado State ============================================================ If you wish to support the channel, you may do so with a donation via PayPal.
