Detectives make fresh appeal on the first anniversary of the murder of Wellingborough man Shane Fox

Detectives investigating the murder of Wellingborough man Shane Fox have issued a fresh appeal for information this week, on the first anniversary of his death. Twenty-six-year-old Shane died as a result of a stab wound to the chest after being assaulted near his home in Nest Farm Crescent, on the Hemmingwell estate, shortly after 2am, on Saturday December 1, 2018. Inquiries have been ongoing through the year and detectives hope the anniversary appeal will prompt a memory or encourage someone who has been reluctant to speak to the police before now to come forward. Detective Chief Inspector Joe Banfield, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit Major Crime Team, is leading the continuing investigation. He said: “This is very much a live investigation and 12 months on we remain as determined as ever to bring Shane’s killer to justice.
