Today we’re throwing it back to our old Idaho Falls shop for a full dyno tuning session on an awesome 1964 Chevy Impala LS swap project. This car has been a multi-visit project, coming in several times as the owner has worked through the restoration, wiring, interior, paint, and—of course—the drivetrain. Under the hood is a 4.8L truck engine with some upgraded internals, and today’s goal was to finally put down a complete, clean pull and finish the calibration. But this car didn’t make it easy... Once we got the real issues fixed—proper injectors, proper fuel pressure, and proper plumbing—the car finally responded the way it should. ❤️ Why We Love Projects Like This Every time this Impala has come back, it’s been a little more complete.
