*Just a correction: the Mk5 Cortina didn't come with leaf springs as I said in the video but the multi-link rear suspension was revised for the XR6 Interceptor to handle the new power, as described. Ford has create some pretty special cars but for me the Cortina XR6 and Sierra XR8 stand out for how they managed to merge the American and European Ford philosophies in to a pair of truly special vehicles.
