The swamis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan have composed thousands of kirtans. One form of their poetic composition is called "Chosar," which consists of four pads. The composer of this Chosar is Sadguru Muktanand Swami, who was a profound scholar, orator, musician, and an embodiment of saintly qualities while also being one of the original poets of the Swaminarayan Sampraday. In the Chosar "Sukhdayak Re," Muktanand Swami sings the glory of the Gunatit sant with great devotion. A notable aspect of this Chosar is that these pads were recited by Bhagwan Swaminarayan himself in the Vachanamrut. Additionally, Shastriji Maharaj personally wrote these verses down on paper for his beloved disciple Sadhu Narayanswarupdas, also known as Pramukh Swami Maharaj, to aid him in memorizing them. Let us take this opportunity to listen to this divine Chosar sung by the musically gifted saints of the BAPS Sanstha.
