Here’s a tip for working with flux: heat the rod first before dipping it into the powder. If the flux doesn’t stick, try dipping the rod in water first, then into the flux. But if there’s already flux residue on the rod, just keep reapplying the flux without using water. Super Alloy 5 is an aluminum repair rod and flux kit that works with any torch. It’s designed to braze all types of aluminum. With a low working temperature and 30,000 psi bonding strength, these rods can bridge gaps and rebuild missing sections in aluminum parts. The bonds are corrosion-resistant and can be bent, drilled, anodized, machined, plated, tapped, or threaded.
