I did one for Trails, so I thought I'd do the same for the other Falcom flagship in the Ys series. Here's my ranking of the canonical Ys games! This was an extremely difficult (and intriguing) dilemma, because I’m sure many of you realise that I love all of these games, almost as much as Trails. And it’s not really a case of which Ys game is best, it’s a case of which one is the “least best” if that makes sense. But I took the challenge, and I attempted to put them in a list derived from my own opinions and experiences with the games, and I’m quite happy with how it came out. I think it’s a fair reflection of what I believe is the best Ys game so far. And who knows, it might also answer poignant queries like which Ys game is best to start with or what order should I play the Ys games in? And of course, I welcome you guys to (civilly) discuss which game you think is best among yourselves.
