In the anatomy of diaphragm you must to know about the openings of diaphragm which includes: 1. vena caval foramen, 2. oesophageal hiatus & 3. aortic hiatus. It is important to know their location & also content of various diaphragmatic openings. In this video you will find the trick to remember structures passing through diaphragm. Most of us do not read in details that how the right crus of diaphragm ultimately forms the oesophageal hiatus which I have tried to show here in a very easy way. Right crus & left crus both play an important role in formation of aortic hiatus. On the other hand the caval opening of the diaphragm do not have the contribution from the right crus & left crus. These minute details are also shown here. And, also I've seen there are lots of mnemonic for anatomy. I tried to provide the easy mnemonic for medical students so that they can easily remember the diaphragmatic openings.
