I did make it a point to not use any kaizo tricks like spring door entries. I eventually figured out the galoomba trick in editor after Smash boss dropped me a hint that the puzzle involved an unusual galoomba technique. I'm not sure what the exact inputs are to pull off the trick consistently. I just kept on doing a quick left-right-throw until it worked. And yes, I did spend 2 min trying to make the trick work (most of it edited out).
