In this video about autism and spirituality, I get vulnerable and share my personal journey of discovering I was autistic after an abiding nondual spiritual awakening. This was an insight nearly as impactful as the awakening itself! I explore how spiritual awakening uncovers our true, absolute nature, yet it’s equally important to embrace our human, relative nature. I also talk about how people with autism are often wired for awakening, with differences in our brains and perception that make us ready to wake up. However, awakening can also be overwhelming and overstimulating for neurodivergent folks with sensory sensitivities. And misconceptions about autism abound. Women present with autism differently as compared to men, with many being diagnosed later in life.
