Worm Castings Harvest Day in My Vermihut Worm Tower + Worm Time Lapse | Vermicompost Worm Farm

After sitting under the active feeding tray for the last 65 days, the oldest tray (159 days old) is ready to be harvested of its garden gold, natural fertilizer, soil amendment, worm castings!!!! But first it will sit in a cocoon nursery to hatch out all the red wiggler & blue worm cocoons that are all throughout the worm castings. I also empty out the current cocoon nursery after 65 days to make room for the new castings. This is a semi complicated video as I do not follow the instructions that came with the Vermihut worm tower. I inoculate trays underneath the pre-harvest & feeding zone trays and I get all the worms out of the castings by setting trays to be harvested on top & agitating the contents to make the worms flee down to lower trays. I confused myself many times while trying to figure out how to show you, so for the first time ever, I have included diagrams to try to show you what I have trouble articulating!! I also do a worm time lapse with the worms I picked out of the cocoon nursery & the few I picked out of the harvest tray. I hope you like it!!
