Mammoth Cave National Park Visit 2021

In this video, we spend a day in MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK in the summer of 2021. We camped at Singing Hills Campground, which was only about 10-15 mins to Mammoth Cave. We found it to be a great, small campground for a short visit to the Mammoth Cave area. The owners were super friendly and the full hook-up sites were definitely a reasonable cost. As of now, you need to reserve your time and tour type by pre-purchasing your tickets. We were able to get tickets to the Mammoth Passage Tour--which was about 1.25 hours long and .75 miles to walk. We found it to be a great tour. We will be back to see another section now that Kelli is on the mend from her torn ACL. Also, they have a great picnic area for you to enjoy close to the visitor's center. There's also some hikes in the area that we didn't get to do this time, but will be back to explore more in the future. We are a family of 4 who loves to travel. In 2019, we bought a 30 ft. travel trailer and decided to make our dreams happen by getting out on the road. Since then, we have upgraded to a 39' Fifth Wheel Mid-Bunkhouse and a 2018 Ford F-350 Diesel and are loving the upgrade for our family. We have always LOVED traveling and now seeing our world on the road has given us opportunities to see and make more memories as a family. We are teachers and are blessed to have the same "vacation" schedule, so we make the most of it with our kids by being both weekend warriors and "school schedule" traveling--We call ourselves part-timers. We hope to share what we learn while exploring this beautiful world around us and inspire you to get out and see it, too.
