This Video: Blanking part of the punch works! Now let's finish up - in Episode 8 we turn and polish the cupping punch that fits inside the blanking die body. This Series: Having been a long time shooter and reloader, I am undertaking my next project for my new Emco V13 lathe: Making Copper Bullet Jackets. The process steps are to blank a copper coin out of a strip of copper, cup it, then draw it in to progressively longer and thinner-walled shapes. The goal in this project is to end up with a 9MM jacket which will be about 0.6" long and 0.352" in diameter. That jacket can then be used in a swaging system (e.g. Corbin) and combined with a lead slug to make an actual bullet!
