C'est le seul titre de l'OST qui comporte une version écrite en langue réelle (anglais). C'est évidement Emi Evans qui a écrit les paroles originales, sous la demande d'Okabe (le compositeur) qui voulait de la tristesse à n'en plus finir. Je ne peux qu'imaginer combien il a dû être dur pour elle d'effacer toute trace d'espoir dans ses vers. J'ai essayé comme j'ai pu de retranscrire tout ça dans cette version française ! Vous noterez que certaines rimes sont parfois décalées dans les vers et pas à la place qu'on leur donnerait naturellement : c'est volontaire. ^^ Outre le ton grave du chant et le message général, j'ai voulu aussi laisser apparaître dans la structure du texte cette impression de désespoir. J'espère en tout cas que cette dernière cover sur cette OST vous plaira et que vous aurez apprécié ce petit voyage avec moi en français sur cette oeuvre magistrale qu'est NieR. :3 -------------------------------------------------------------------- ENGLISH: 3 years after the beginning of my crazy idea to write original French lyrics for a lot of NieR sung titles, here is the last of them: Ashes Of Dreams. It's the only piece of the OST that got an actual true language version (which is English). It's obviously Emi Evans who wrote them, taking into account the wish of Okabe (the composer) to have sadness and only sadness in them. I can only imagine how hard it must've been for her to erase any type of hope in the lyrics. I tried as much as I could to transcribe this feeling in this French version! You'll notice that some of the rhymes are sometimes not at the place they should naturally have: it's wanted. ^^ Aside from the grievous tone in the singing and the general message, I also wanted to show in the lyrics' structure this kind of hopelessness feeling.
