Iris (Kate Winslet from Titanic and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Amanda (Cameron Diaz from Charlie's Angels, The Mask and There’s Something About Mary) realizes that the man she is living with has been unfaithful. One lives in England, the other in California. The two women, who have never met and live 600 miles from each other, come into contact on a home exchange website. Impulsively, they decide to swap homes for the holidays. Iris moves into Amanda's house in Los Angeles while Amanda stays at Iris, in the snow-covered English countryside. Shortly after their arrival, the two women meet a man. Amanda falls for Graham (Jude Law from Sherlock Holmes, The Talented Mr. Ripley and Captain Marvel) as Iris meets Miles (Jack Black from School of Rock, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and King Kong).
