A nice little run against Diablos using Heavy Bowgun. The most difficult part of this quest was avoiding the Delexes in this three dimensional bullet hell. This is a decent video to showcase the different ways to avoid monster attacks when using Heavy Bowgun, notably side-steps. A critical thing to know when using the weapon is that you can only do side-steps right after firing or right after reloading, which are very quick and especially faster than using rolls with HBG. While Diablos' AI in Rise was tremendously improved over World's, Diablos is still an average monster with an average moveset and absolutely nothing special. At this point hunting Diablos in any Monster Hunter game feels like a chore to me, much more than any other returning monster. You would think that with being one of the Gen 1 monsters that made it into every game in the series except 4 and X, Diablos would get correctly reworked, made more interesting, or at this point received a proper subspecies, but no. #monsterhunter #monsterhunterrise #monsterhunterrisesunbreak #heavybowgun
