For me, van life is not an escape from life, but a return to living it with intention. Join me as I explore the joys of a van life where freedom meets comfort and intention. This video highlights a beautiful camp spot and staying active while traveling and exploring. Links to places I mentioned: Camp Comfort, Ojai https://venturacounty.gov/parks-department... A few more things… Don’t be tempted to walk up Creek Road. It’s a winding road where people drive fast. There is no sidewalk, and at many points along the way there is no shoulder. I walked up to town one early evening via Creek Road. Apparently, it’s so unusual to see a person walking on Creek Road that a couple stopped to ask me if I was ok. 😊 After that hairy walk, I thought I’d catch an Uber or taxi ride back to the campground after dusk. I found out that Ojai is generally such a walkable community (aside from Creek Road, that is) that there is no need for ride share services. I was lucky to find (after 4 attempts) an Uber driver who would drive into Ojai from Ventura. The 2.2 mile ride cost me $25. Lesson learned and shared with you. 😉 There is plenty of parking if you drive to town. On Signal Street there is a small public lot, and El Paso Road generally has more parking available than Ojai Ave. Happy Trails!
