Palestinapodden: Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories

F. Albanese is an international lawyer and academic, who worked a decade as a human rights expert for the UN before becoming their special rapporteur on occupied Palestinian territories in 2022.  The same year she became a special rapporteur, she published a report that recommended the UN-members to develop a plan to end the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime. In 2024 she published another report, concluding that there were reasonable grounds to believe that Israel committed acts of genocide in Gaza.  In february, she has been in Norway, presenting her report, visited several media outlets, the Council of Ethics and the Foreign Committee in Parliament.
