Welcome back to the DTC Concepts YouTube channel! I'm Dan, and today we are officially kicking off a brand-new project for 2026: Tullum Ranch. We are transforming a dated primary ensuite into a beautiful, modern retreat. This project is a referral from one of our favorite clients, so the pressure is on to make it spectacular—but we’ve got some tricky constraints to navigate first. As I always say, constraints lead to the best design! Inside the Tullum Ranch Kickoff: The Layout Headache: We're debating shower placement. Do we put it near the upper window (tricky!) or against a wall with a short span? Day 2 Reveal: We’ve opened up the walls. The good news? The moisture smell was isolated to the shower. The bad news? We still have a floor plan puzzle to solve. The Ceiling Debate: The client wants to raise the ceiling, but moving vents, lighting, and plumbing adds up fast. Is the ROI there? The Slider Swap: Why we’re removing a 6-foot slider and replacing it with a high-set window to gain functional floor space for the new tub. Modernizing the 2026 Way: We are leveling out that old "sunk-in" tub and bringing this space firmly into the current decade.
