Spy Collection Highlights - Stasi Criminalist Kit

In this episode of SPY's Collection Highlights, historian and collector, H. Keith Melton showcases a rare Criminalist Kit, issued by Stasi during the 1970s. In East Germany, the crime of espionage was investigated by graduate "criminalists." The tools of their trade were packaged in this small leather case, which contained everything necessary to catch spies. The Stasi Kit is now on display in the Museum's Berlin City of Spies Exhibit - an immersive environment contrasting West and East Berlin during the Cold War.
