Video transcript: Hi, I'm Larry Schlesinger and I'm a board-certified plastic surgeon from Honolulu, Hawaii. Today's question is what is the cost of breast implant revision, or breast implant surgery revision? And the answer is it's kind of all over the board. Normally, in Hawaii, a primary breast augmentation meaning the surgeon does it and the patient's breasts have never been operated on before, that's a primary. Anything after that is a secondary, a tertiary and so on. The cost of a primary breast augmentation in Honolulu is somewhere between $7,500 and $10,000. When you're doing a revision, you never know what you're going to get into as the surgeon. You try to tell patients all kinds of possibilities so that they're not shocked or frightened and they understand the limitations of a revisionary surgery. You always have to put new implants in. You can never use the same implant and put it back in. It voids the warranty and it's very dangerous and it could lead to some bad bacterial problems. So cost of the new implant, basically the cost of the surgery, and whatever else you're going to use like Seri or something of that nature.
