Wayne Houchin - Guitar & Vocals Lee Heggarty - Guitar & Vocals Johnny 'Squirrel' Sorrel - Bass & Vocals Dylan Houchin - Drums Sue Hathaway - 'The Lady of the Jug' History Wayne and Leigh have known each other over 35 years. They had talked for years about starting a punk covers band but had done nothing about it. Eventually in 2017 they got in the studio with Dave Jenkins of the legendary Menace on bass and Wayne's son Dylan on drums (initially to hold a beat for the fledgling band to rehearse songs). As the first rehearsal was so positive, on the way home both Leigh and Dave messaged asking if Dyls wanted to do it permanently! it was after a couple of rehearsals that the band decided to concentrate more on the later 'new wave/post punk' era as opposed to straight ahead punk. The Slogans always strive to bring songs to people that they'll know and love, but rarely hear a band play. The guys in the band also try to be faithful to the 'single/song/tune' that people remember and want to sing along to and reminisce. Afterall, memories are cherished and a band's funk/metal hybrid version of, for example Elvis Costello's 'Watching the Detectives' would not resonate the same.
