During the Fall 2023 American Academy of Dermatology Virtual Career Summit that took place on October 21, we hosted a panel discussion where attendees were able to learn more about working in different practice settings. Watch the recording to hear from these panelists: Dr. Shawn Allen - Dermatology Arts – Dr. Allen is passionate about the practice and culture of Medicine, curing skin cancer and performing cosmetic surgery and procedures. In 2007, he founded Dermatology Specialists, one of the largest privately owned dermatology practices. Dr. Anne Chapas – UnionDerm Dr. Chapas, a Manhattan dermatologist & dermatologic surgeon specializing in laser surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancers, & cosmetic procedures. ELLE mag. recognized her twice, as one of 13 "beauty geniuses" Dr. Lauren Madigan - University of Utah Health Dr. Lauren Madigan is an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Utah. She completed her medical and residency training at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Henry Ford Hospital respectively. Moderator: Dr. Naiara Sbroggio Barbosa, M.D. - Mayo Clinic Dr. Naiara S. Barbosa is board-certified in dermatology and Mohs surgery. Dr. Barbosa joined the Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and is currently an Assistant Professor.
