** ALTERNATE UNIVERSE / PLEASE READ THE STORY ** Show: Dark Angel Couple: Max♥Alec, Max♥Logan Song: Dido & Vitamin String Quartet / Hunter Program: Sony Vegas Pro 9 Here's my first long vid in a while - I had a horrible creative block for MONTHS, so I finally turned to my old favourite - Dark Angel - for help :) This is an AU story which broadly follows S2, starting with Max locked up at Manticore. She's trying to find a way to escape when one night she's introduced to X-494, a fellow transgenic and her designated breeding partner, who's supposed to get her pregnant in order to help Manticore rebuild the DNA database that she'd destroyed earlier. She refuses to cooperate and eventually, he accepts her decision. Max hates Manticore's numeric codes and names him Alec, short for 'Smart Alec', based on his trademark snarky comments. She convinces him to help her escape from the facility, but while she manages to clear the perimeter, he's caught by the guards. However, since he'd not intended to escape anyway, she leaves him at Manticore and returns to the City, to her boyfriend Logan and her old life, putting the past behind her. Then one day, Alec shows up at the courier company where Max works, having escaped Manticore as well. It clearly isn't a coincidence that he's landed up at Max's doorstep, and initially she's irritated with him and gives him a hard time. But Alec is cheerful and charming and obviously interested in her, not to mention genetically created to be her perfect match, and soon she finds herself attracted to him despite her loyalty to Logan. Her feelings for Alec deepen as she starts to discover his sensitive side, hidden underneath the layers of his devil-may-care attitude. Logan senses her attraction towards Alec and is naturally upset, and one day, when he accidentally sees the two of them together, he confronts Max about her feelings for Alec, and she has to make her choice. Will Max choose the man she's loved for over a year, or the new guy who's stolen her heart? * * Since I'm still learning Vegas, this video's not big on effects sorry about that but I hope you'll enjoy it for the story.
