The old Forge is the most remote pub in Scotland as well as the UK, infact it is one of the most remote in the world as there are no direct roads to the pub. You can access The Old Forge by boarding a ferry from Mallaig to Inverie, a short 20 minute ride to the small town OR you can walk 27 miles through challenging boggy terrain to earn your pint! This is truly one of the finest walks you could do in Scotland as you pass the Hogwarts Express crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct right at the start. Over two days we walked for 21.5 hours and finished in the dark not even knowing if the pub was open! The suspense was killing us! We never managed to get much footage of the walk itself as the be quite honest, we were dying! so hopefully this review will explain all you need to know about tackling The Old Forge Walk from Glenfinnan to Inverie.
