In this episode you will see our road journey from Tso kar Ladakh to Keylong. We saw 4 high altitude passes on our way, best experience was of Baralachala pass. This tour started from Leh, visited the touristy places in leh ladakh, Nubra valley, Pangong Tso, Turtuk, Siachen, then we reached Hanle, which is an offbeat location in ladakh. We went to Leh by air, so wanted to do return journey by road to get first hand view of this road journey. Below are the activities we did throughout the day Tso Kar is located close to the Manali Leh highway. situated at an altitude of approximately 4,500 meters (14,800 feet) Tso Kar is also a perfect place for camping away from the crowd. Manali, Himachal Pradesh is about 285 km away. Tso Kar is counted in offbeat destinations of Ladakh. It is about 150 km from Leh. Important information is that in Tso kar you will get electricity backup, however there is no mobile connectivity. After Tso kar we took a halt in Debring where we found good connectivity, but electricity was a challenge. We started our day from our camp, had breakfast & then proceeded towards Jispa enroute to Manali. Enroute Leh to Manali highway there are about 5 passes Lachalung La - It is situated at an altitude of approximately 5,065 meters (16,617 feet) above sea level. Nakee La - It is located at an altitude of approximately 4,739 meters (15,551 feet) above sea level. Gata loops - There are about 21 loops on this Leh Manali highway, sharp turns, it is situated about 13750 ft. Pang viewpoint - We saw rock formations which we also noticed when we were travelling in spiti, in dhankar. Baralachala pass - It is situated at an altitude of approximately 4,890 meters (16,040 feet) above sea level. On 25th july, it was quite unexpected to find snow, we saw a lot of snow on the mountains. We ended our day at keylong. We stayed at Blue Pine Camps Tariff - Rs 2,500 Driver - Dorjee bhai - 6005279312 , took us along in this tour of Ladakh, there was some problem with regard to BS6 due to which he had to go back to Leh. We requested if Karamchand could come, he agreed to this and we got to travel with him on our return. We travelled to Spiti with Karamchand bhai, you must have seen him in the spiti series, he is a nice guy. Hope you like the video.
