He completed his MBBS degree with clinical distinction at King’s College London – School of Medicine and has completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Anatomy, Developmental and Human Biology with First class Honours. Akhilesh has previously served as the President of King’s College London Surgical Society, which organises the annual national undergraduate surgical conference, attended by over 100 participants. Akhilesh has a keen interest in teaching and has conducted teaching sessions with medical students at different stages in their degree. He is currently undertaking a PG(Cert) in Higher Education at the University of Oxford. Akhilesh has presented posters, given presentations and successfully published papers in various surgical specialities and is keen on developing his research skills. He completed his medical school elective at Johns Hopkins, Baltimore in the Department of Plastic Surgery, as well as the Princess Margaret Hospital, Bahamas in Trauma & Orthopaedics. His goal is to pursue a career in Trauma and Orthopaedics and he has secured an Orthopaedics themed Core Surgical job in the North Central London deanery.
