When you are marathon training or starting to do longer runs, fuelling on the long runs becomes very important! Your stomach is a muscle that needs to be trained and if you want to avoid hitting the "wall" or having GI issues on race day, you need to practice your fuelling. As the saying goes, "nothing new on race day." Everyone responds differently to various forms of fuel, so it's important to try different brands/types of fuel to see what works best for you.
