Joshua took the rags of sin upon himself and was condemned on the cross (Zechariah 3:3, Joshua was standing before the angel in filthy clothes). Those who wear this garment must be baptized to be united with Christ (Gal 3:27: "For all who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ"). He allows those who come before the Lord wearing the garment of Jesus, along with the virgin friends who serve Him, to participate in the first resurrection when Jesus comes (Rev 20:6), and grants the comfort of heaven, which wipes away tears, while they wear the white garments washed by the blood of Jesus (Rev 7:16,17).
