The Chinese government could order a lockdown in the capital Beijing to try to contain an outbreak of COVID-19. Mass testing is underway in the city while residents begin to panic buy food and other supplies. A lockdown is already in effect in Shanghai, where a further 51 deaths from COVID have been reported.
