clips from my laptop the first 3 months of 2025. in hindsight it has become apparent since then that "starting over" would be a major theme for 2025. I entered 2025 having had my phone and 50k of my savings stolen by a taxi driver one drunken night the final days of 2024. not only that, mans also took out a GLoan of almost 20k in my name--basically took some of my assets AND gave me liabilities. anyHOO. that disheartened me quite a bit and led me to question the work that it took to save up for the money I had been stolen. "was it worth it?" I think the answer was no. so I passed my resignation on january but was requested to extend for a project in Siargao. at the end of this video you will see that I am there, with my co-worker slash roomie turned good good friend, Aica. love you bhie. it all turned out great. I think this video is a good depiction of what it was like for me living alone in manila. I'd just spend my time getting ready for work and playing with my guitar and talking to myself. in that clip where I was ironing my clothes I was listening to Andrew Bird's album I Want to See Pulaski at Night and was basically geeking about its sequencing(?). I get that this video may not make sense to many as you watch it but I didn't wanna overexplain all the details hahahaha. I'm hoping I get better at storytelling as I go.
