The Queen of Spain and her daughters looked vibrant in gorgeous bright colours as they attended the annual national offering to the Apostle Santiago in Spain today. Queen Letizia, 49, was accompanied by her daughters Princess Leonor of Spain, 16, and Princess Sofia of Spain, 15, as they attended the regional festivity at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, alongside King Felipe. Looking exceptionally glamorous the two young princesses showed their styles are matching that of their mother's, while walking around Santiago de Compostela. While young Sofia wore a pretty baby blue dress and flat ballet shoes while her hair was half combed up off her face, her older sister Leonor wore a £75 Cayro Vestido yasmin pink and red dress. Letizia chose a Vogana £220 ‘Mer’ dress in orange, pulled in at the chest, with matching soft brown Carolina Herrera Mini Doma Insignia satchel crossbody bag and singback camel suede pumps. Her hair was styled in long curls tucked behind her ears and kept her make-up to a minimum, showing off her natural beauty. The family attended the event last year too and this year King Felipe looked smart in a navy suit paired with a blue shirt and tie. Santiago de Compostela is the capital of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. The city has its origin in the shrine of Saint James the Great, now the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. His Majesty the King reviewed the formation accompanied by the Chief General of the Operational Logistics Force and the company captain. After the magazine, King Felipe together with Her Majesty the Queen and Her Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Doña Sofía, went to the center of the Plaza del Obradoiro where they received greetings from other authorities. Hence, our commitment to this offering on the day we celebrate the Patron Saint of Galicia and Spain". After the words of His Majesty the King, the mass continued with the homily by the Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela. The religious ceremony continued with communion, after which, the royals went to the altar before the tabernacle and the silver ornaments that house and adorn the statue of the Apostle Santiago . Then, they returned to their seats so that the religious ceremony continued with the traditional impetus. The Mass ended with the Apostolic Blessing. Immediately afterwards, Royal family left the interior of the Cathedral to go to the from where they observed the jump of two members of the Skydiving Acrobatic Patrol descending with the Flag of Spain and the Flag of Galicia. Subsequently, Their Majesties went to the Plaza del Obradoiro where they held a meeting with the expedition members, who took up the activity that commemorates the Holy Year and focuses on the final journey of the remains of the Apostle Santiago. Next, they went to the work "Bolboreta" where they received greetings from its sculptor, Manuel Paz. To end their visit to Santiago de Compostela, Their Majesties went to the Pazo de Raxoi, headquarters of the Santiago de Compostela City Council and the Presidency of the Xunta de Galicia. There, they signed the city's golden book and then held a meeting with members of the Government of the Xunta de Galicia, the municipal corporation of Santiago de Compostela and the mayors of the group of World Heritage Cities. The Offering to the Apostle is a ceremony instituted in 1643 by Felipe IV and over the years the tradition was maintained by the Kings, heads of state or personalities with the highest responsibilities invoked the Patron of the Spains the divine benefits for human tasks. ........................................................................................
