It’s famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town. Kutaisi is a city in west Georgia. It's home to the centuries-old Bagrati Cathedral. On the city's outskirts, the Gelati Monastery is a medieval cathedral with elaborate frescoes. The nearby hillside Motsameta Monastery has martyrs' remains. Prometheus Cave is a world-renowned site of natural beauty and a must-visit site in Georgia. A visit to the cave, which is decorated with amazing stalactites and stalagmites, is a journey into a fabulous underground world.The cave is located in the village of Kumistavi in the west of the country. The 22km drive from Georgia’s second city, Kutaisi, takes only about 30 minutes Martvili Canyon is a picturesque landmark of water and rocks, located 50km west of Kutaisi. It is 5 km from the town of Martvili, and 2 km from the village of Gachedili (which gave the canyon its other name, Gachedili Canyon). In 2016, the canyon’s tourist infrastructure was improved: new paths and bridges were built, and the boats that take tourists down the river were upgraded. Mtsvanekvavila church is located on the left bank of river Rioni, looking over the whole historic Jewish quarter. The main church was built in the 17th century. Another older church is of 1013 years but only its ruins have remained through difficult times. The name “Mtsvanekvavila” means Green Flower. White Bridge - is located in the central part of Kutaisi, in the old part of the city, on the river Rioni. It is one of the most beautiful bridges in Kutaisi, its construction began in 1850 and ended in 1852, Project author was a military engineer Vite. This is our family Channel.
