1996 Bentley Azure, 18k Miles, 3 Owners, Showroom Condition!

This is a beautiful hand-built 1996 Bentley Azure that is all-original and in showroom condition, having covered a mere 18,237 miles since new. It is also quite rare, being one of only 164 left-hand drive examples produced for the worldwide market for the 1996 model year. The Azures were each hand-built with all coachwork done by Bentley in England, and the convertible top modifications being completed by Pininfarina in Italy. The result is styling that still looks contemporary today. It is immediately apparent that this example has been lovingly cared for by its previous owners. This Azure comes complete with a nearly comprehensive service history from new. With an original MSRP of $319,000, it was first delivered to Paulson Motors in Beverly Hills, California on October 13, 1995 to Gail and Roger Dauer in Beverly Hills. It was then acquired by Christopher Lefeure on August 16, 2001 in British Columbia, Canada where it spent most of its life being serviced regularly by Bentley dealerships and independent British car repair facilities (these service records have been attached). On March 10, 2021, the late Dr. John Charles Spence of Tempe, Arizona acquired the Azure and we are now selling it on consignment on behalf of his estate. The Bentley still retained its original radials from the factory until we replaced them earlier this year. The paint on this Bentley is Black (paint code 9500701) and it is in nearly perfect original condition with gorgeous shine and luster. The chrome and stainless steel trim around are all in excellent condition with no visible blemishes. The Black canvas convertible top is original and looks and functions as new. The convertible top on these Azures and Corniches were engineered by Mercedes-Benz and should only be used occasionally. Inside, the Silverstone Leather (Trim Code A4181) is complimented beautifully with Black piping (PAC-3726) and is stunning and nearly perfect. The Cirrus Gray headliner sits tautly above the interior and it is in excellent condition. The only area where the interior shows any indication of use is where the driver’s side seatbelt rests upon the piping, this can be seen in our photo gallery. The Burl Walnut veneer gleams beautifully in showroom new condition, creating a striking contrast to the two-tone leather dashboard. The engine is the tried-and-true 6.75 litre V8 that Bentley and Rolls-Royce have used in numerous models. In the Azure, the V8 is also turbocharged, producing 385HP with nearly 600 lb. feet of torque. The four-speed transmission in this Azure shifts very smoothly and without hesitation. Steering feels solid and tight as one would expect for an 18,000-mile car. This Azure rides exceptionally well and has brand-new Bridgestone tires as of 2022 that have traveled less than 15 miles since installation. This impressive car drives as well as it looks and is surprisingly athletic despite its size and weight, capable of over 150mph with a 0-60 time of just over six seconds. This Bentley comes with the original owner’s manual, clean CARFAX, record booklet and a wonderful collection of receipts through most all its life. Additionally, it has the factory in-car telephone, Rolls-Royce/Bentley Sound System Demonstration CD, and key-fob for the alarm system. These Azures will undoubtedly increase in value over time.
